Our Boeing Business Jet Max 7 Concept “LongTail”
Introducing LongTail, a visionary design collaboration between Camber Aviation Management and renowned designer Alexander Craker. Inspired by iconic masterpieces like the Riva Aquarama and the Rolls Royce Boat Tail, LongTail reimagines a private jet interior by celebrating the exhilaration of flight and the allure of luxury transportation.
The genesis of LongTail occurred on the Riva Lounge deck in Venice, where Tom Chatfield and Alexander Craker envisioned a unique design for a new Boeing Business Jet Max 7. Drawing inspiration from the sleek curves and timeless elegance of the Riva Aquarama – a classic wooden Day Cruiser from the 1960s – and the bespoke luxury of the Rolls Royce Boat Tail, they set out to create an interior that embodies speed, elegance, and style.
A Design Inspired by Icons
Celebrating the Journey
Departing from traditional aircraft interiors that mimic living spaces, LongTail embraces the rarefied experience of flying. The design evokes feelings of freedom and adventure akin to cruising on a high-end speedboat or driving a one-of-a-kind cabriolet.
- Minimalist Elegance: Clean lines and a minimalistic aesthetic create a spacious, airy cabin
- Natural Materials: Luxurious woods, high quality leathers and polished metals reminiscent of marine environments.
- Light and Space: A palette of whites, creams and light blues evoke sunshine, sea and fresh air.
Attention to Detail
The minimalist design demands impeccable execution, where every detail is meticulously crafted.
- Sleek Curves and Lines: Emphasising the cabin’s contours to reflect the shape of a hull.
- Contrast of Woods: Juxtaposing dark and light woods adds depth and sophistication
- Innovative Features: An elegant rise-up serves as a social hub, convertible into a flat surface, bar or display screen.
Enhancing Performance
The minimalist layout not only enhances aesthetics but also reduces weight, increasing the aircraft’s range.
LongTail offers a refreshing alternative to conventional private jet interiors, inviting passengers to embrace the joy of flight. By merging the best aspects of aviation, marine and automotive design, it creates a luxurious, spacious environment where the journey is as enjoyable as the destination.
